Joe Paterno announced early Wednesday he would resign as Penn State’s football coach at season’s end. That wasn’t good enough for the school’s Board of Trustees. In a move that will cause anger in Happy Valley – even though it is the right one – the Board of Trustees fired Paterno Wednesday night along with school President Graham Spainer.
In a press conference, the Board of Trustees announced defensive coordinator Tom Bradley is the interim head coach, and will lead the team onto the field Saturday against Nebraska.
