UFC on Fox Drew 5.7 Million Viewers, Which Compares Favorably to an ALCS Game and Regular Season College Football

UFC’s first offering on FOX was a quick one: A 64-second knockout Saturday night (Stephen will have a full breakdown later). It happened in the midst of the Oregon-Stanford game, which was on ABC and had National Championship implications. I didn’t expect MMA to generate a big rating.

It drew a staggering 5.7 million viewers and a 3.1 rating.

That’s about how many people watched game five of the ALCS between the Rangers and Tigers. While that’s surprising, this is even moreso: “Among men 18-34, UFC on Fox out-rated every college football game this season other than LSU-Alabama.” FOX is probably thrilled. Here’s a further breakdown of the numbers. [Broadcasting & Cable]
