Even if Rob Gronkowski Got a Concussion on This Flip, He Wasn't Telling Anyone About It

Rob Gronkowski, who is rapidly emerging as one of the best tight ends in the league – five TDs in the last three weeks; 10 for the season, which is 2nd to Calvin Johnson among pass-catchers – said this to the ESPN MNF crew Monday night when asked about flipping into the end zone:

“I remember the moment and everything,” Gronk said. “If I didn’t I still wouldn’t even say I didn’t. I’m trying to play this week hahaha.”

Wonder if Roger Goodell will give him a call after that quote.

If you had any doubt at all this was the year of the tight end in the NFL: of the 19 players with the most receptions this season, seven of them – Jimmy Graham, Gronkowski, Jason Witten, Tony Gonzalez, Brandon Pettigrew, Fred Davis and Kellen Winslow – are tight ends.

How many TE’s ended last year among the top 19 receivers in catches? Two. Witten and Chris Cooley.
