Jim Mora Jr. Will Be UCLA's Next Coach; Kevin Sumlin Supposedly to Coach Texas A&M

Finally, UCLA’s pitiful coaching search has come to an end. After striking out with Boise State’s Chris Petersen and Washington’s Steve Sarkisian, the Bruins found their man: Jim Mora Jr.

You may remember Mora Jr. as the guy who coached Mike Vick in Atlanta, or as the guy who was jettisoned after one year with the Seahawks. I’ll remember him as the guy who isn’t a fan of Doug Gottlieb.

In other coaching news, Texas A&M is rumored to have struck out with Georgia’s Mark Richt and all signs point to the Aggies settling on Kevin Sumlin.

In case you missed the other hires this week:
Charlie Weis left Florida (where he was offensive coordinator) for Kansas.
Larry Fedora left Southern Mississippi for North Carolina.
Tim Beckman left Toledo for Illinois.

Because you want to see it first!
