Tim Tebow Was Mic'd For Sound Against the Bears. Do You Really Think He Sings Christian Songs During Warmups?
By Jason McIntyre
That had to be just for the cameras, right? A few of the highlights:
1:25: After Julius Peppers tracks down Tebow, the QB says, “good play, Peppers.”
1:30 As he’s walking back to the huddle – “What up, Lance Briggs,” as if he’s in awe. I laughed out loud.
1:40 Tebow talks fishing with Brian Urlacher.
3:00 After Demaryius Thomas let a TD pass go through his hands, he sat down next to Tebow and apologized. Tebow: “You’re about to go catch the game winner, man. You’re good.”
8:19 After the Marion Barber fumble in overtime, listen closely when Tebow is headed onto the field. It sounds like he starts singing Christian music.
I thought the ending, when Tebow embraced Jay Cutler, was most interesting. I had to watch it a few times. Cutler, smugly, said, “helluva job, stay healthy, good luck on the road.” Two of those three seemed like possible digs at Tebow – as if there’s no way he could keep this up (or as if to say, “If I were healthy, we would have crushed you) and Tebow doesn’t win a game like this on the road.
