Denver's Loss + San Diego's Win = AFC West Just Got Interesting, Which is Bad News for Tim Tebow

AFC West standings:
Denver 8-6
San Diego 7-7
Oakland 7-7

The Raiders led the Lions by 13 with 5 minutes left and lost. They let Matt Stafford orchestrate a 98-yard drive in the final two minutes. Oakland visits jekyll-and-hyde Kansas City Saturday. The Chiefs won the prior meeting, 28-0. I have absolutely no read on this game: Will the Chiefs suffer a letdown after the win over the Packers, or will Oakland struggle to bounce-back from the debacle against Detroit?

The Raiders close at home against San Diego. I’d rule out the Raiders – man, that Carson Palmer trade looks horrendous – and focus on the Chargers and Broncos (who split the regular season meetings).

San Diego is on its usual December roll, having scored 38, 37 and 34 points in three games this month. Can it continue against the Lions in Detroit?

Gosh I hope not. And that’s because I want Tebow in the playoffs.

But the concern is that the demoralized Broncos now have to across the country to Buffalo on a short week. Silver lining: beat-up Buffalo just let Reggie Bush run for 203 yards. Reggie Bush.

I’d play the pride card for Buffalo, but could it possibly have any left? The Bills opened 5-2. They’ve lost seven in a row. There could be rain/snow in the forecast, but it’s too early to tell.
