ESPN Radio Host in Albany Apologies For Calling WNBA Teams the "Los Angeles Lesbians" and "Phoenix Dyke-ury"

"Bruce Jacobs of WTMM (104.5 FM) called two WNBA teams the “Los Angeles Lesbians” and the “Phoenix Dyke-ury” during Tuesday’s broadcast."
Jacobs apologized for 10 minutes on air – “My comments yesterday were ridiculous, stupid and amateurish” – but the damage was done. Someone created a Facebook page: “Get ESPN Radio’s Bruce Jacobs OFF of the Air for Gay Slurs.” When the Times-Union asked Jacobs if he should be fired, he said no. Obviously.
Will ESPN see it differently? It does televise WNBA games. As part of his punishment, Jacobs should be forced to attend WNBA games for the rest of the season. [Times Union via Paul Pabst]
