Mike Pereira to ESPN's Jon Gruden: You're a Blowhard and Don't Know What You're Talking About

"I am not a fan of Gruden’s. Not today, not yesterday, not when I worked for the NFL and not when I was working on the field as a side judge. He was a loudmouth as a coach who constantly disrespected officials and he is a blowhard in the broadcast booth who spouts off when he doesn’t know what he is talking about."
The NFL sent out an email and video Tuesday attempting to clarify helmet-to-helmet hits. If you saw the Saints-Falcons game Monday, then you know the league was clearly trying to get a subtle message to the ESPN announcers, who seemed unsure of the rules regarding those types of penalties.
I think the NFL nudged Pereira to write this.
