Canadian Hockey Players Rescue Freezing Puppy!

With a headline like this and a picture like that, you just know that this post is going to work out! Three Saskatchewan hockey players were walking through a parking lot on their way to a movie theater when they saw someone drop something in the back of a pickup truck. When the players discovered a puppy, they called the police.

A spokeswoman for the Prince Albert SPCA said that the players saved the puppy’s life since it was -30 C. The worst part of this story is knowing that the hockey players didn’t chase the guy down who abandoned the puppy and beat the crap out of him. This is the kind of action that would make Sarah McLachlan break an acoustic guitar over some fool’s head. The good news is that little Ruben, as the staff has started calling him, will be up for adoption in about a month.
