Jamie McGinn Demonstrates the Importance of Locking the Door at the Ice Rink

On Thursday night, San Jose’s Jamie McGinn lined up a check against Chris Phillips of the visiting Ottawa Senators. McGinn grazed Phillips and hit the wall. Anybody who watches hockey knows that there’s a little give to the glass, but not this much. The arena employee in charge of latching the door to the ice where the players enter didn’t do his job on Thursday night and McGinn ended up in the hallway.
