It’s been a rough season for the Springfield Millers of Springfield, Oregon. The Millers struggled through a 2-10 start to the season. Last week, Springfield coach Eric Orton told Dylan Piquette and Taylor Travess to take over their game against South Eugene and they did, scoring 23 and 19 points respectively in a 70-65 victory. After the game, Travess told the Springfield Times that the experience was particularly unforgettable.
“It felt like losing your virginity, honestly,” Travess said.
You’ll be happy to know that the Millers also won on Monday. Unfortunately, no one asked Travess if the second time was as good as the first or if he could tell the other team was just going through the motions. [Springfield Times via @PaulPabst]
