It’s a modest, 4-bedroom, 3-bath, 2,100 square foot home in bucolic Hephzibah, Georgia. It seems former heavyweight champ Riddick Bowe let the house slip into foreclosure, so it can be yours at an auction next month. You can see photos of the house here. Read this depressing 2009 New York Times profile of Bowe to find out where his fortune went.
Perhaps his most memorable fight of his career was against Andrew Golota in 1996. If you fast-forward to about the 35:50 minute mark, you’ll see Golota floor Bowe with a low-blow to the groin. Golota was disqualified, and then Bowe’s entourage attacked him in the ring. Madness.
