Steve DeOssie played at Boston College, then went on to a long career as a long snapper in the NFL, winning a Super Bowl ring with Giants before finishing his career with the Patriots under Bill Parcells. He is also the father of Zak DeOssie, the long snapper for the Giants.

Of course, he has also been collecting a paycheck for quite a while for covering the Patriots, as he works for WEEI in Boston, and appears on “The Real Postgame Show”. Blood over paychecks, I suppose, so it would be understandable if he was rooting for his son.

"“Even if my son wasn’t on the Giants, I would pick the Giants, because they are a better team, they deserve the game . . .” . . . I struggle sometimes up in New England, but I know I’ve got a home in New York.”"

This was apparently filmed at a pep rally before the Super Bowl, where he references coming over from filming a Patriots pre-game. DeOssie went perhaps a bit too far. He’s not an independent journalist. He works in Boston. I’m surprised he didn’t call refer to Gisele as Yoko Ono at the rate he was going.
