Vitali Klitschko faces Dereck Chisora for the WBC heavyweight title tomorrow night in Munich, Germany. Today at the weigh-in, Chisora slapped Klitschko in the face. Chisora is 15-2 and has lost two of his last three. He does have that British flag bandana that he wore over his face like a total badass, though. Klitschko is 43-2 and hasn’t lost since 2003. Despite those facts, Chisora remains confident that he will
get paid win.
You have to love posturing like this in combat sports. Pushing, shoving and slapping at the weigh-in is a wonderful tactic to drum up interest in an event. It’s partly theatrics and partly to psych themselves up. I mean … you get to punch the dude in the face the next day. [BBC]
