The UFC May Have Fired Octagon Girl Chandella Powell Because She Allegedly Has a Softcore Porn Past

Chandella Powell was curiously absent from Wednesday’s UFC on Fuel TV event in Omaha, Nebraska. For an Octagon Girl to miss a fight card is not all that strange, but rumors have started swirling this week that Powell has been released by the organization. The reason for her firing? Before Powell was with the UFC she allegedly did some softcorn pornography under the name “Mariah Ashton.”

Powell joined the UFC around the end of 2009. Before that she worked at the Playboy Club in Las Vegas and also appeared in the magazine. How much less artful is softcore porn than appearing in Playboy? All three other Octagon Girls listed on the UFC website – Rachel Leah, Arianny Celeste and Brittney Palmer – have appeared in Playboy.

Powell’s bio page on UFC.com remains, but it also said that she’s 2-years-old. (That typo has remained on UFC.com for months if not more than a year.) Dana White made it clear that the UFC is not in the website business during his spat with Anonymous, so getting any trace of Powell off the official website is probably way down on the list of priorities. Around the time these rumors popped up, Powell’s Twitter went silent.

The other interesting part about this rumor is that Powell may not have been fired for being involved with pornography, but for not disclosing it to the UFC. Yes, if you’re interested, links to the photographs in question can be found in the comments section of one of the outgoing links in this post. I’m not going to tell you which one though. This is the Internet. If you can’t find a naked girl here, then there is really no hope for you.
