The Detroit Red Wings won again today, pushing their NHL record for consecutive home wins to 23 in a row. Detroit beat San Jose, 3-2 for their 6th straight victory overall. The win pushed their season record to 41-17-2. With 84 points, they have the best record in the NHL and a 4-point lead over Vancouver in the West. The Canucks visit Detroit on Thursday.

The highlight above features Justin Abdelkader fighting San Jose’s Ryane Clowe. It looked like Abdelkader took some strong, clean shots from Clowe before the two were separated. Abdelkader was a goal short of a Gordie Howe hat trick. Slacker.
