Tonight’s Rising Stars Challenge was entertaining, but not close enough to play seriously down the stretch. You don’t play defense in All-Star games. Especially at the end of All-Star games that aren’t close. With just a few minutes remaining, it turned into an impromptu dunk contest with Washington’s John Wall taking center stage. Enter Detroit’s Greg Monroe who played possum and stole the ball when Wall threw it. Not cool, Greg Monroe. Not cool.
Close but no cigar.
