Derrick Rose Hates Fun

“I can dance,” Rose said after Sunday night’s All-Star Game. “But there’s a time and place for that and I don’t think it was right, then and there.”

Fun fact – Derrick Rose grew up in the tiny town from Footloose. If anyone was a fan of Dwyane Wade’s foul that broke Kobe Bryant’s nose on Sunday night, it was Derrick Rose.

“I don’t care,” Rose said. “You just know that’s me, man. If you would have saw me out there dancing, you would have been looking at me different. I’m just me. I can’t be anybody else. I think that’s what people see.”

It’s true. Rose is an intense player and I don’t know if I’ve ever seen him have fun. As far as I know, the only things he derives pleasure from in life are candy, high ankle sprains and dunking on people. Not that any of those are fun enough to make him smile in public. There’s a time and a place for smiles and that’s Graceland.
