They’re virtually tied with the Clippers for first place in the Pacific. The No. 2 seed in the West is well within reach. It’s probably not a good idea to underestimate Kobe in his quest for a 6th ring (which would tie him with Jordan).
How better to take over 1st – even if only for a couple hours – than with a win over the team with the NBA’s 3rd best record? While paying back D Wade for breaking Kobe’s nose in the All-Star game? And further adding to LeBron’s tough weekend?
I’ll say this about the Heat – everyone has them winning the title. But with a loss to LA, they’re going to get the treatment in the media this week and fair or not, LeBron’s going to be taking the brunt of it. I wonder if anyone will even mention that Chris Bosh missed the Utah game.
