Still Can't Believe Iman Shumpert Got a Technical Foul For This

Iman Shumpert dunked hard on Kevin Garnett Sunday, and you could tell it was impressive based on the loud crowd reaction. So before he turned to run upcourt, Shumpert – without breaking stride – looked at the guy he just put on a poster and screamed … and got a technical foul for it. No pointing. No in-your-face taunting. Just barking something.

What a crock.

Shumpert, who was pilloried on draft night last June as an awful pick by everyone (myself included) – he had an uneven career at Georgia Tech – had another strong game (14 points, five rebounds) and continues to have an impressive rookie season. I wish he had fouled Paul Pierce before Pierce was able to make the game-tying 3-pointer, but …
