The Infiniti Coaches’ Charity Challenge is now underway and after last year’s successful event, the field of candidates has expanded from 14 to 48 of the nation’s top NCAA Division I men’s basketball coaches.

The top coach finalists among this year’s candidates include:

Bob Huggins of West Virginia (Norma Mae Huggins Cancer Research Endowment Fund), Dave Rose of Brigham Young (The Children with Cancer Christmas Foundation), Frank Haith of Missouri State (Boys & Girls Clubs) and Thad Matta of Ohio State (Ronald McDonald House)

University of Florida’s Billy Donovan won the inaugural Challenge last year by earning 51 percent of the fan vote over a six-week period, and his charity of choice, the Sebastian Ferrero Foundation, which advocates and fund-raises for a full service state- of –the- art children’s hospital in Gainesville, received a $100,000 donation from Infiniti.

47 coaches will win $5000.00.   One coach will again be awarded $100,000.  The total financial contribution will be more than $300,000.

Fans can go to www.espn.com/infiniti to vote for their top coach. There are 4 regions and coaches will be competing within their region.  In the final weeks the top 4 coaches, one from each region, will compete for the top prize. Voting ends on Thursday, March 8th.
