Redskins ($36 Mil) and Cowboys ($10 Mil) Lose Cap Room For Taking Advantage of Uncapped Year

Apparently the league warned teams not to use the uncapped season to throw money at players without any cap restrictions. (Pro Football Talk points to Miles Austin’s $17 million salary in 2010.) So… teams are being punished for breaking rules that were not actually rules at the time they were broken. This might be the most Roger Goodell move in Roger Goodell’s time as President King Godhead of the NFL.
