Shot back Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim: “That’s why they make scoreboards.”
It just so happens that 28 years ago, after Georgetown beat Syracuse in overtime in the Big East championship – a game which featured a punch thrown by Michael Graham (video), for which referees initially threw him out, then didn’t – Jim Boeheim “kicked over a chair” and said:
"“Today, the best team didn’t win.”"
