In the Sweet 16, Kentucky beat Wake Forest, 103-69. The Wildcats shot 16-of-24 on three-pointers (five each for Travis Ford and Jamal Mashburn). Randolph Childress and Rodney Rogers couldn’t hang.

Indiana defeated Clifford Rozier-led Louisville, 82-69 in the Sweet 16. Indiana, which featured Calbert Chaney and Greg Graham that year, lost in the regional final to Rex Walters and Kansas, 83-77.

Kentucky lost in the Final Four to Chris Webber’s Fab 5 team in an epic overtime game. I still think Jamal Mashburn doesn’t foul out, the Wildcats win this one. They led by four in OT when he picked up his fifth foul.

That was the 2nd-to-last college game Chis Webber ever played … we all know what happened in the title game against Carolina.
