Michigan State AD Mark Hollis Offered Michigan's Trey Burke Some Unsolicited Advice on Twitter

Michigan State athletic director Mark Hollis caused a twitter kerfuffle, by tweeting Michigan basketball player Trey Burke some advice about his decision to return to school or leave for the NBA. Michigan’s AD David Brandon was not pleased.

Burke tweeted “EVERYONE got something to say…smh I thought this was my life!.”

Hollis sent him the following unsolicited advice, to not listen to unsolicited advice.

Brandon issued the following retort.

Not sure what the take home message is here, besides, yeah, if you’re an athletic director at a university it’s probably not wise to contact, or follow a student-athlete from another university. For those interested, the Mark Hollis parody account is already live.
