Last week, Bill Parcells was supposedly closing in on the interim coaching job with the New Orleans Saints, where he’d replace his buddy, suspended Sean Payton. But now, a twist! The New York Post “reports” – in a story that was so obviously planted by Bill’s camp that nobody at the paper wanted their byline on it – that the Vikings are in the mix for Bill Parcells.
As Ben Volin notes, Parcells was once “close” to going to the Atlanta Falcons … while he was in talks with the Dolphins (where he ended up). It’ll be interesting to see if the Saints cave and raise their offer to Tuna.
