The Penguins’ Brooks Orpik hit the Rangers’ Derek Stepan knee on knee during Pittsburgh’s 5-2 win last night. Rangers coach John Tortorella was not pleased. He felt this was hypocritical, considering the amount of “whining” the Penguins do related to their “stars,” presumably Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin. He wondered aloud what would have happened had one of the Rangers hit either player them the same way.

"“Ask the guy who did it,” he said. “Ask him. It’s one of the most arrogant organizations in the league. They whine about this stuff all the time, and look what happens. “It’s ridiculous. But they’ll whine about something else over there, won’t they? Starting with their two [expletive] stars.”"
