Report: Arkansas Wanted To Keep Bobby Petrino - With Penalties - But Petrino Chose Unemployment [Denied by AD Jeff Long]

According to Dudley Dawson of Arkansas.Scout.com, Bobby Petrino could have saved his job, but refused to accept Arkansas’ terms.

@DedSports: Per Clay’ Henry’s sources, Arkansas wanted to keep Bobby Petrino with penalties. He would not accept those penalties. Thus he was fired

That’s pretty defiant for a guy in his position. Maybe the terms were just unacceptable and Petrino was right to walk away, even if he was helped out the door. Perhaps that’s why Bobby Petrino Jr. was “sooo pissed.” [Update: Bobby Petrino Jr. has since deleted his Twitter account. All the Tweet said was, literally, “sooo pissed.” Maybe there was another “o.” Either way.]
