LA Clippers 100, Oklahoma City 98: Impressive 4th quarter rally – led by Chris Paul, who finished with 31 points – on the road by the Paper Clips. Paul scored 24 in the second half, including this game-winning layup. Blake Griffin served up a facial to Serge Ibaka, and finished with a solid performance – 16 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists. The Thunder ruined an opportunity to open up a two-game lead on the Spurs because …

LA Lakers 98, San Antonio 84: … the rested Spurs couldn’t beat the Kobe-less Lakers. Andrew Bynum collected 30 rebounds and Ron Artest Metta World Peace scored 26 (!) points in a bit of a stunner. Perhaps the rest hurt the Spurs – Duncan, Parker and Ginobili shot a combined 12-for-34. Bynum only scored 16 points and “shot the ball like shit.”

New York 111, Milwaukee 107: The Knicks scored the final six points of the game and pushed the Bucks two games back of the 8th playoff spot. Impressive win for New York a night after losing in Chicago. The Knicks played JR Smith (14 points) and Iman Shumpert (16 points, six assists, five rebounds, three steals) at point guard in the 4th, and it worked. Melo scored 32 points, and Chandler added 19-11. Monta Ellis scored 35 for the Bucks.

Boston 88, Atlanta 86, OT: Rajon Rondo had 20 assists, Brandon Bass and Kevin Garnett combined for 43 points and 22 rebounds and the Celtics continued their quest for the 3rd seed in the East. Rondo only shot 3-of-16, but rounded out a triple-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Impressive non-letdown for the Celtics after Tuesday’s win in Miami.

Memphis 104, Phoenix: 93: Grizzlies remained half-a-game back of the Clippers in the race for the 4th seed in the West (and homecourt advantage in the first round).

Denver 113, Minnesota 107: JaVale McGee caught Kevin Love in the kisser with an elbow, knocking him out of the game in the first quarter. Anthony Randolph replaced Love and did what everyone thinks he should be doing every night – 28 points in 31 minutes. Rookie Derrick Williams added 27, but Denver held on to create a 3-way logjam for the 6th seed in the West.
