Soccer Weekend: Five Matches to Watch For April 13-14

Schalke vs. Dortmund: The Revierderby from the German industrial heartland. Dortmund edged out a 1-0 win against Bayern, stretching their lead at the top to six points with five matches to play. Their arch-rivals, all but locked into third, would not mind making it a race again. [9:30am, Sat. GolTV]
Udinese vs. Inter Milan: Lazio’s loss to Juventus on Wednesday opened up the race for the final Champions League place. Udinese are in fourth, just three points behind. This is a must-win for Inter Milan, six points back in seventh. [2:45pm, Sat. FSC]
Tottenham vs. Chelsea: This is the other FA Cup semifinal. These two clubs are battling for the final Champions League place. This won’t count for that, but they’ll still be giving each other menacing looks. Chelsea are not looking ahead to Barcelona. Seriously, they want you to believe that. Spurs are taking this so seriously they might recall David Bentley. [1:00pm, Sun. FSC]
Roma vs. Fiorentina: Two clubs in vastly different positions. Roma are four points off the Champions League, which could make them a more attractive destination for Clint Dempsey. Fiorentina, in the Champions League places as recently as 2009, are just three points off relegation. [2:45pm, Sun. Fox Deportes]
