Malaysian Shooter Will Be Nearly 8 Months Pregnant When She Competes In The Olympics

“I will talk to the baby before I compete… ‘no kicking, stay calm for one hour and 15 minutes only please'”, Suryani told Reuters in an interview at her home shooting range in Kuala Lumpur.

“When I go to London, I will be 33 weeks, when I come back it will be 34 weeks.”

Doctors have told Suryani that as long as she is in such good shape, she should be able to compete up to 9 months in. She will be competing in the 10 metre air rifle competition and has a real chance to medal. Suryani took bronze at the 2010 Asian Games and the gold at the Commonwealth games. Last year she won gold at the Southeast Asian Games.
