14. St. Louis (via Dallas): Michael Brockers, DT, LSU. The Rams trade down to grab a beastly (6-foot-5, 322 pounds) defensive tackle. Should shore up an awful defense, but pretty-boy Sam Bradford has got to be pounding his fist and demanding a receiver in the 2nd round.

15. Seattle (via Philadelphia): Bruce Irvin, LB/DE, West Virginia. Bit of a shocker. Didn’t see him nearly this high on any mock drafts (but what do those guys know?). Either way, this sets up the Jets perfectly. They need a pass rusher, and all the best ones are available.

16. New York Jets: Quinton Coples, DE, North Carolina. Not an enormous fan of his work – he’s hit and miss – and would have preferred Melvin Ingram. How can you not see some Gholston in Coples, Rex? Ugh. I’ll try to stay positive.

17. Cincinnati: Dre Kirkpatrick, DB, Alabama. No surprise here. They got an elite cornerback who should start from week one. Pot bust aside, the kid is a natural.
