Cincinnati Drafted Mohamed Sanu Two Rounds After Prank Call Telling Him He Was Drafted by the Bengals

While the Cincinnati Bengals were on the clock, Rutgers’ wide receiver Mohamed Sanu got a phone call. Sanu was watching the first round of the NFL draft at home with his family and agent. The caller said that the Bengals were making Sanu the 27th pick in the draft. Sanu and his family celebrated while his agent tweeted that he was the newest member of the Bengals.

Then the Bengals selected Kevin Zeitler. Someone had pranked Sanu. Brutal. This is probably the cruelest thing you can do to a college athlete. In the end, it all worked out. Sanu was selected by the Bengals in the third round on Friday night. I guess that counts as a happy ending, but you have to wonder who made the original phone call.
