"“And (Wood) started cursing at me and saying, ‘Do you know who I am? I’m the best player at Michigan State! Don’t you know who I am?'”"

I wouldn’t have pegged him as a top three player on the team last season, but hey, that’s just me.

There’s a lot here to sift through, but I’ll begin with the two most incredible facts: 1) Wood’s father was with him the entire night and 2) Wood, by all accounts, had not consumed that much (or any) alcohol. It seems Wood met three girls at a party and went back to their place (with his father). Then, Wood flipped out because – allegedly – the 18-year-old girl rebuffed his advances. So Wood went to sit outside, but then tried to get back in the house.

"Soria grabbed a nearby candle and threw it at Wood, who evaded the object as it crashed and shattered against Soria’s front gate some 10 feet from the door. “I got scared,” she said. “It seemed like it took him three steps to get there. You know when you just get a door closed and start trying to lock it and somebody’s already pushing on it? It was like that. If it had taken me 0.2 seconds longer, he would have been in the house.” Soria said she and her cousins were able to convince the mutual friend and Wood’s father to exit the house shortly thereafter. As the pair left, Wood again attempted to gain entry to the house, Soria said."

Inexplicably, the three females then went outside to talk to Wood, and he ended up allegedly hitting one of them. About 20 minutes later, he was arrested. [M Live via Wolken]
