The Nuggets beat the Lakers last night in Denver. It was a huge win and it featured one of the more remarkable things you will ever see on a basketball court – JaVale McGee playing well in an NBA playoff game. McGee scored 16 points on 8-12 shooting, blocked 4 shots and pulled down 15 rebounds. It defies logic. The one person who wasn’t impressed with the performance was JaVale’s mother, Pam McGee. How is it that she is as serious as her son is goofy? Perhaps she’s still thinking about this Sports Illustrated article from 1998.
