Here’s a tweet earlier today by TV host Jimmy Kimmel, lobbying for highly-touted recruit Anthony Bennett to attend UNLV. (Kimmel attended UNLV; it is unclear if he gradated from there.) Kimmel’s so diverse, he can go from giving a speech at the White House Correspondent’s dinner one week, and recruit for a college basketball program the next. That’s talent. Bennett famously passed on Kentucky earlier this week, touching off an angry mob of pitchfork-wielding Wildcat fans who berated the teenager for hours on twitter.
The book on Bennett: Rivals has him as the 7th best player in the Class of 2013. He’s a 6-foot-7, 230 pound wing who can score inside and out, as the video below shows. He’s narrowed his choices to UNLV or Oregon. If the Rebels get him, they might just vault into the preseason Top 10 for next season. If he goes to Oregon, he can dream about making the NIT.
