The one Spanish team to claim a European Cup this season is…Atletico Madrid. The Rojiblancos beat Spanish rivals Athletic Bilbao 3-0 today to win the Europa League. The hero of the day was Colombian striker Falcao and, really, who else would it have been? His brace today gives him 12 goals in 15 matches for that competition. He also scored 18 goals in 16 Europa League matches last season for Porto as they lifted the trophy. The 26-year-old has 35 in 47 total appearances this season, not quite Messi or Ronaldo but fair production for his $52 million transfer fee.
Creighton star might be the last player to do this for awhile.
Slicing and dicing.
Viable Plan B for Jurgen Klinsmann?
