Ready for another summer of college football realignment? It’s coming. The Big 12 was at death’s door last summer, but now is back with a vengeance, and poised to expand.
The pillaging of the meek ACC is about to begin. Florida State seems like the easiest and most likely program to convince. But why stop there? Why not grab Miami and Clemson while you’re at it? Hell, the TCU AD confirmed as much this morning!
According to Chris Level, who is the publisher of RedRaiderSports.com and a co-host of a radio show on 104.3 FM in Lubbock; he Tweeted that Del Conte said that the once dead Big 12 “now has schools like Florida State, Clemson and Miami trying to get in.”
Wait, didn’t FSU Board of Trustees member Derrick Brooks say the Big 12 approached Florida State? Whatever. Point being … the ACC – which looked brilliant boosting Syracuse and Pittsburgh from the Big East – is now about to get its pocket picked.
* The TCU AD has attempted to clear things up (read: Fix shit, quick), saying he was only referring to the “rumor mill, not confirming schools interested in the Big 12.”
