MLB – Brandon Phillips (2B/Cincinnati Reds) – The Reds infielder had a great night against one of the better pitchers in the National League on Tuesday, when he hit two homeruns off the Braves’ Brandon Beachy. Phillips is hitting .321 over the last week thanks to his second multi-hit game in four days and is one of the reasons the hot hitting Reds took down Atlanta twice to start the series.

NHL – Anze Kopitar (C/Los Angeles Kings) – The young Yugoslavian center had 5 points in 5 games against the Phoenix Coyotes as the Kings wrapped up the Western Conference Championship.  His +5 rating combined with his ability to score in a timely fashion without taking a ton of shots was one of the reasons L.A. is advancing. His shorthanded first period goal in the final game of the series helped the Kings gain momentum and close out the series, so be sure to tune into the Stanley Cup Finals to see if Kopitar continues his solid play.

NBA – Lebron James (SF/Miami Heat) – Could it be anyone else? Lebron is averaging 35 points, 14 rebounds and 8.5 assists in his last two games against the Indiana Pacers. His play has reignited Dwyane Wade’s game and the Heat are making a push to the Eastern Conference Finals. His 40 point, 18 rebound and 9 assist effort in Game 4 was one of the best playoff games from a statistical standpoint in 40 years. Whether you love him or hate him, you have to watch when the man is scoring points at this rate.
