Video: Insane College Baseball Catch Robs Player of Game-Tying Home Run In the Bottom of the 9th

Update: Here’s some great video via Last Angry Fan. The Daily News Online confirms that it was Derrick Salberg who made the grab.

“By far the best catch I’ve ever made,” Salberg said of the Sportscenter Top-10 worthy catch. “I was waiting for the bullpen pitchers to tell me I was getting close to the fence. Thank God I didn’t run into the fence, and I’ve got some hops.”

Oh, and they had this incredible picture. Nice catch, Salberg.

Leading 4-2, 2 out Bottom 9th runner on 3rd. LC left fielder jumps over fence to rob potential game tying home run for final out against Everett Community College.

It appears to be #10, Derrick Salberg. Internet people are hot on the trail of HQ video of the grab.
