Daniel Bard's Start in Toronto Never Really Got Started

In 1-2/3 innings of outstandingly putrid work, he allowed one hit — a three-run homer to Jose Bautista — walked six, hit two batters, and allowed a total of five runs before being mercilessly removed from the game and likely sent back to Boston on a plane full of chickens.

The only thing Bard didn’t do was turn around and throw the ball into the outfield. If this were a video game, your controller would already be on fire.

What a disaster.
