The St. Louis Post Dispatch Gave Johan Santana's No Hitter an Asterisk

The St. Louis Post Dispatch led its sports section with an asterisk and a mention of the probably botched Carlos Beltran call. The New York Daily News was incredulous about this slight against “The Prince of New York.” (Jeter is king, obvs) Whether he allowed five base runners or six, he pitched very well.

While we’re discussing the Mets. R.A Dickey, while throwing a knuckleball, has a 38-2 strikeout to walk ratio his last four starts and has allowed four runs combined. That might be historic.
