Before last night’s game in Phoenix between the Arizona Diamondbacks and Oakland Athletics, umpire Bill Miller was escorted on the field by storm troopers. Well, storm troopers from the “Forests on the Moon of Endor” collection leading the way, to be specific (Star Wars Geek Alert!). Miller, you might recall, was the umpire at the center of the Brett Lawrie helmet throwing incident a few weeks ago.
Awesome.
No word on whether Joe West was also escorted on the field last night by Bib Fortuna. (Star Wars Geek Alert again!)
