Yes, Ukraine is weak. They are a side limited to defense and counterattacks. They don’t defend that well. They have home advantage (lost 4/8 at home), though that did not help them avoid a food poisoning outbreak. The man to watch Andriy Yarmalenko, who Andriy Shevchenko termed the “future of Ukranian football.” This is Ukraine’s first competitive match since losing the 2010 qualification playoff in the fall of 2009.

Sweden has departed from its cautious play under Lars Lagerbäck. It’s their first tournament match without him since the 1994 World Cup. The Swedes have Ibrahimovic. They have some talented technical players in midfield with Kallstrom, Svensson and Larsson. The back four and goalkeeper are weaker.
