Curt Schilling is Taking a Leave of Absence From ESPN

ESPN has mutually agreed to let Curt Schilling take leave from the company’s MLB coverage, as he resolves his legal issues with his video game company, 38 Studios. They expect him back before the season’s end.

Schilling’s bankrupt company is currently engaged in a legal battle with the State of Rhode Island. The company claims state officials broke off contact and denied $8.7 million in promised tax credits, after 38 Studios made its promised $1.1 million payment on May 17.
