Deron Williams will return to the Brooklyn Nets. Williams tweeted, “Made a very tough decision today….” with a link to a picture of the Brooklyn Nets new logo. According to CBS’s Ken Berger, Williams has signed a five-year deal worth around $98.75 million.
Williams will be the centerpiece of a decent nucleus in Brooklyn – Joe Johnson will be his backcourt mate, and Gerald Wallace will start at small forward. The only questions are what will happen in the frontcourt, where Brook Lopez has one spot locked up, but power forward remains a question. The Nets’ bench will be led by 2nd year guard MarShon Brooks.
