Steve Nash has been traded to the Lakers in exchange for multiple future draft picks, according to John Gambadoro of KTAR in Phoenix. The full details of the trade have not been disclosed. According to Gambadoro, Nash preferred the Lakers all along over either the Knicks or Raptors, as it was closer to his family and home. The Lakers hope that the 38-year old Nash has a few more good seasons left and revitalizes the team, which lacked point guard play. Kobe Bryant led the team in assists in 2011-12, but if Nash is healthy, that should change dramatically next season.
[UPDATE: Paul Coro of the Arizona Republic is reporting the draft pick compensation is two first round picks (2013 and 2015) and two second round picks (2013 and 2014).]
