Serena Williams Won Her 5th Wimbledon Title, Then the Williams Sisters Won Their 5th Women's Doubles Title

Serena Williams is very good at tennis. So good in fact, that she won two Wimbledon titles yesterday. Earlier in the day she won her 5th women’s singles title at Wimbledon, tying her with her sister Venus. Serena defeated Poland’s Agnieszka Radwanska 6-1, 5-7, 6-2 for her 14th major championship.

Later in the day Serena was back on Centre Court, this time with Venus to compete for the women’s doubles title. The Williams sisters defeated Czech team Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka 7-5, 6-4.

The Williams sisters have combined to win 10 of the last 13 Wimbledon singles titles. They have also won 5 of the last 13 women’s doubles titles. Their father’s mantle must be very crowded.
