Zach Johnson won the John Deere Classic Sunday, beating Troy Matteson in a playoff. The shot that resulted in a tap-in birdie putt from inches away was Johnson’s 6-iron out of the sand from 192 yards away. For lack of a better word, the shot was, “Linsane.” With the win, Johnson heads to The Open Championship just 32 points behind Tiger Woods on the FedEx Cup list. He has won nearly $4 million this year. [Des Moines Register]
