Shane Victorino Close to Being Traded to the Dodgers [UPDATE]

Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Shane Victorino, the man most famous for being photoshopped into a skirt on the cover of the New York Post, is on the verge of being dealt to the Los Angeles Dodgers for reliever Josh Lindblom and another player, according to a report from CBS Sports. It’s safe to assume that “another player” will not turn into a name of great significance.

[UPDATE: It’s final, Victorino to the Dodgers for Josh Lindblom and Ethan Martin.]

The 31-year-old Victorino is in the final year of his contract. In 101 games, he has nine home runs, 24 stolen bases and an OPS of .724. More importantly, the fashionable Flyin’ Hawaiian is an absolute lock to enjoy life in L.A. Plus, he’s already seasoned in brawling with the Giants.

The addition of Victorino will finish off an impressive month for the Dodgers, who recently picked up Hanley Ramirez and last night traded for Brandon League.

So is Cliff Lee the next to go for the Phils? With $87.5 million left on his deal, probably not, though it would be pretty fun if he were added to a contender. Cliffy in the postseason is always a welcome addition ever since that magical showing in the Bronx in Game 1 of the 2009 World Series.

Perhaps Victorino’s greatest moment as a Philadelphia Phillie? It’s up there:
